Lindsay Smith Siddall was born and raised in Florence, (The Shoals) Alabama. She grew up surrounded by music. Her father was a songwriter and she had family and close friends that were influential in the rise of Muscle Shoals Sound and Fame.

Lindsay found herself especially drawn to the words and meanings of songs.  "I have so many memories of sitting cross legged on my bed with cassette inserts spread out. I would focus on the lyric as I listened to a song over and over." She started writing lyrics in her early teens, but kept that part of her life private.  Her love of words led her to receive a Master’s degree in Literature. As she was getting older, she started thinking, “What’s my purpose, what am I contributing to the world?” Lindsay decided to give it a go with what she was already doing anyway, writing songs. “What if a song I’m a part of helps to comfort, inspire or even just entertain someone? That is something I can be proud of!”

Lindsay began seriously studying and practicing her craft and then finally made the move to Nashville in 2016. She’s primarily a lyricist but loves working with co-writers on melody. Her main focus is on country music and writing for sync, but she enjoys collaborating with singer/ songwriters of other genres.

Lindsay is an active member of NSAI, SongTown and ASCAP. She is on the Board of Directors for the Muscle Shoals Songwriters Festival.
